ENE 100 - Conventional and Alternate Energy Applications
Provides an overview of hydroelectric, coal, and nuclear energy production methods and renewable solar, geothermal, wind, and fuel cell technology. A complete system breakdown of conventional power production methods, efficiency, and sustainability when compared with solar, geothermal, wind, and fuel cell applications.
Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
Prerequisite: ELE 176 or instructor approval.

ENE 101 - Principles of Wind Energy
Introduces the wind energy industry and the role of the technician; provides exposure to business strategies and methodologies used by owner/operators of wind farms, and manufacturers of wind turbines.
(3 Cr.) Lecture 1 hour per week.

ENE 104 - Energy Industry Fundamentals
Provides a broad understanding of the electric and natural gas utility industry and the energy generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure. Covers business models, regulations, types of energy and their conversion to useable energy such as electric power, how generated power is transmitted and distributed to the point of use, emerging technologies, and the connection to careers in the energy industry.
Lecture 4-5 hours. Total 4-5 hours per week.
