- ELE 110 - Home Electric Power
- Covers the fundamentals of residential power distribution, circuits, panels, fuse boxes, breakers, transformers. Includes study of the national electrical code, purpose and interpretation.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - ELE 113 - Electricity I
- Teaches principles of electricity covering fundamentals, devices and components in both DC and AC circuits. Part I of II.Lecture 3 hours per week.
3 credits - ELE 114 - Electricity II
- Teaches principles of electricity covering fundamentals, devices and components in both DC and AC circuits. Part II of II.Lecture 3 hours per week.
3 credits - ELE 116 - Electrical Construction Estimating
- Studies methods and techniques used to develop an estimate for electrical construction wiring and equipment installation.Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

- Studies passive and active components with applications. Includes DC and AC analysis of networks and circuits as applied to fundamental electrical and electronic circuits and systems. Part I of II.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.

3 credits - ELE 127 - Residential Wiring Methods
- Studies wiring methods and standards used for residential dwellings. Provides practical experience in design, layout, construction, and testing of residential wiring systems by use of scaled mock-ups.Lecture 1-2 hour. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-5 hours per week.
2-3 credits - ELE 131 - National Electrical Code I
- Provides comprehensive study of the purpose and interpretations of the National Electric Code as well as familiarization and implementation of various charts, code rulings and wiring methods including state and local regulations. Part I of II.Lecture 3-4 hours per week.
3-4 credits - ELE 132 - National Electrical Code II
- Provides comprehensive study of the purpose and interpretations of the National Electric Code as well as familiarization and implementation of various charts, code rulings and wiring methods including state and local regulations. Part II of II.Lecture 3-4 hours per week.
3-4 credits - ELE 133 - Practical Electricity I
- Teaches the fundamentals of electricity, terminology, symbols, and diagrams. Includes the principles essential to the understanding of general practices, safety and the practical aspects of residential and non-residential wiring and electrical installation, including fundamentals of motors and controls. Part I of II.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - ELE 134 - Practical Electricity II
- Teaches the fundamentals of electricity, terminology, symbols, and diagrams. 3 credits - ELE 135 - National Electrical Code - Residential
- Studies purposes and interpretations of the national electrical code that deals with single and multi-family dwellings, including state and local regulations.Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-4 hours. Total 4-5 hours per week.
3-4 credits - ELE 145 - Transformer Connections and Circuits
- Studies transformer theory, symbols, diagrams, connections, terminology and troubleshooting techniques.Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
Prerequisite: ELE 150 or equivalent.2 credits - ELE 146 - Electric Motor Control
- Studies solid state devices with application and emphasis toward control of power. Includes diodes, SCR's, photoelectric controls, timing, circuits, voltage regulation and three phase rectifiers.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
Prerequisite: ELE 150 or equivalent.4 credits - ELE 150 - A.C. and D.C. Circuit Fundamentals
- Provides an intensive study of the fundamentals of direct and alternating current, resistance, magnetism, inductance and capacitance, with emphasis on practical applications. Focuses on electrical/machines applications.Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4-5 hours per week.
3-4 credits - ELE 152 - Electrical-Electronic Calculations I
- Includes general math, scale readings, conversions between units of measure and algebra with exponents and radicals as it applies to DC circuits.[First of a three-sequence course].Lecture 3-4 hours per week.
3-4 credits - ELE 160 - Power Controls
- Introduces basic electrical and other controls used in home and industry. Includes application of panels, fuse boxes, breakers, and transformers, experiments to develop testing and troubleshooting techniques.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
3 credits - ELE 177 - Photovoltaic Energy Systems
- teaches techniques for conduct site surveys, installing system components, installing inverters and performing system sizing and system maintenance. Introduces different battery configurations, and charge controllers. Introduces safety, system design and layout, National Electric Code, Component Selection, wiring and installation techniques.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
4 credits - ELE 193 - Studies In
- Covers new content not covered in existing courses in the discipline. Allows instructor to explore content and instructional methods to assess the course's viability as a permanent offering.Variable hours per week.

- Provides an opportunity to explore topical areas of interest to or needed by students.May be used also for special honors courses. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
