- Studies principles and techniques of quality engineering for the management, design engineering economics, production, and assurance of quality. Emphasizes fundamentals of total quality assurance for product and process control. May include design review, fundamentals of statistics procurement control, sampling and control chart systems, quality reporting, process capability analysis, tool and gauge control, document control, or troubleshooting quality control. - Covers theoretical knowledge necessary for familiarization with common handtools, common power tools, measuring tools and techniques, fastening components and procedures, grinding operations, metal cutting operations, and other miscellaneous tasks.Lecture 1-2 hours per week.

- Studies nondestructive inspection and testing methods as they relate to industry. May include radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), eddy current (ET), magnetic particle (MT), and liquid penetrant (PT) or other methods of testing.Lecture 3 hours per week.

- Introduces basic information and problem solving techniques in liquids, gases, solids, metrics, mechanics, forces, simple machines, heat, light, sound and nuclear energy as applied in industrial engineering technologies.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - IND 123 - Introduction to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Covers basic Lean and Six Sigma concepts. Examines the importance of Lean and Six Sigma as pertaining to the world of manufacturing. Provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate the impact of Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing environment.Lecture 1 hour, Total 1 hour per week.

- Studies practices in the installation of machinery, including mounting, grouting, leveling, and alignment. - Studies team concepts and problem solving techniques to assist project teams in improving quality and productivity. Provides knowledge of how to work as a team, plan and conduct good meetings, manage logistics and details, gather useful data, communicate the results and implement changes.Lecture 3 hours per week.

- Covers the importance of effective and ethical organizational behavior in career development. Provides students with guidance on how to be a high performance team member. Presents the tools necessary to manage and motivate team members in a manufacturing environment. Focuses on communication skills, professionalism, and ethics. Examines conflict resolution skills and the ability to identify behavioral types.Lecture 1 hour, Total 1 hour per week.

- Provides a broad overview of ethics in the modern day business world including workforce skill building and self awareness through group discussions.
