Course Description
Provides academic skills and support for introductory composition. Students will identify and apply academic skills including critical reading, writing, thinking, and research. Upon successful completion of EDE 10, instructors recommend enrollment in EDE 11/ENG 111 or ENG 111 or ENG 115/ENG 131.
Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

- Critical Reading - identify basic rhetorical knowledge and use active reading strategies alongside ENG 111.
- Critical Writing and Conventions - compose and apply the writing process and conventions
- Critical Thinking - show critical thinking skills about various texts from EDE 11 and ENG 111
- Critical Research - demonstrate effective research processes for EDE 11 and ENG 111.
