The Associate of Applied Science in Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology is part of the Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant program at Blue Ridge Community College

Individuals interested in pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology have two program options: the two-year, full-time, on-campus program at BRCC?s Weyers Cave location or the three-year, part-time, distance education program. Both options are accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and have competitive admissions. Upon completion of either program, students are eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) and apply for a license to practice as a veterinary technician. This program prepares students for careers as licensed veterinary technicians in a variety of animal care facilities. Includes classroom and clinical experiences.
