The Career Studies Certificate in Career Studies Certificate in Fire and Emergency Medical Services is part of the Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) program at Central Virginia Community College

This program will allow students the opportunity to pursue certifications in CPR, Emergency Medical Technician, Firefight I, Firefighter II, and HazMat Awareness. These certifications are obtained through the Department of Fire Programs and the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). They are required for employment in the Fire and EMS services.
