Hybrid Course 50% of class time meets in person, on campus; students are expected to attend class in person on the days and times listed on the schedule. 50% of class work is completed online, independently, via CANVAS. Reliable internet access and a computer are required. Prerequisite is PHT 102 or instructor permission. Introduces fundamental studio lighting techniques using continuous and flash/strobe equipment. Gain experience solving a variety of lighting problems through class demos. Access to a digital camera with fully adjustable manual controls is required. As of Fall 2023, Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions are no longer offered for free through NOVA. Students need to purchase their own license for successful completion of the course work.
