PHT 235 - Documentary Photography
Teaches students how to create an in-depth documentary photography photo-essay. Covers editing the final project for presentation.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
Prerequisite: PHT 102 and basic computer skills or permission of instructor.

Produce an in-depth research-based documentary photography project on a topic of your choice. Introduces historical and contemporary approaches to documentary photography. Share work online in a private group and participate in group critiques.
50% of class time is live streamed via Zoom; students are expected to attend class via Zoom on the days and times listed on the schedule. 50% of class work is completed online, independently, via CANVAS. Reliable internet access and a computer are required.
