ESL 41 - Composition II
Provides further instruction and practice in the writing process and introduces advanced language patterns. Includes practice in developing and improving writing strategies. Credits are not applicable: Requires a sense of paragraph structure and development, appropriate use of verb forms, and command of basic sentence structures with some coordination and subordination, as indicated by a placement test and writing sample, or teacher recommendation from a previous level. Credits are not applicable toward graduation.

This course may require proctored testing as described in the course syllabus. A student may request an alternative proctoring method, but the student will be responsible for any additional fees associated with the alternative method.
2nd twelve-week online course offered by NOVA Online. NOVA Online courses are 100% online requiring students to have reliable access to a computer and internet service. This class has no scheduled meeting times. Due dates can be found in the syllabus. Starts February 4. Prerequisite: An English placement recommendation for ESL Level 4 or successful completion of ESL 31/32/33. ESL 41 and ESL 42 are required to complete Level 4. Provides further instruction and practice in the writing process, emphasizing writing short essays and introducing advanced language patterns. Includes practice in developing and improving writing strategies. Credits are not applicable toward graduation.
